Radio Times in Review: You think YOU’RE cold?!

Listen 00:48:45

Guests: Bill Streever, Hampton Sides, Todd Carmichael

Coming up on this week’s edition of Radio Times in Review: winter weather has finally arrived, but if you think you’re feeling chilly, we’re going to bring you three conversations today about some of the coldest places on earth. First, we’ll hear from biologist and fan of all things freezing, BILL STREEVER, author of the aptly-titled book, Cold. We’ll also listen to Marty’s conversation with author and historian HAMPTON SIDES. He joined us to discuss his book In the Kingdom of Ice, which chronicles the 19th century polar adventure of the USS Jeanette. Lastly, we’ll hear from adventurer and co-founder of La Colombe Coffee, TODD CARMICHAEL. He was the first person ever to make a solo expedition across Antarctica to the South Pole entirely on foot.
