Radio Times in Review: Psychologist Barry Schwartz, reinventing Bach, bassist Stanley Clarke

Listen 00:48:45

Guests: Barry Schwartz, Paul Elie, Stanley Clarke

Coming up on today’s edition of Radio Times in Review: we’ll talk with author and retiring Swarthmore professor of social theory and social action, BARRY SCHWARTZ, about work and motivation. Monday is Johann Sebastian Bach’s birthday, so to mark the occasion, we’ll listen to Marty’s conversation with writer PAUL ELIE where they discussed the influential composer, and how his music is so open to interpretation. We’ll also listen to a portion of Marty’s 2014 interview with bassist and composer STANLEY CLARKE. A Philadelphia native, Clarke is known for taking the bass from the background to the forefront.
