Pennsylvania’s Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate seat now held by Arlen Specter was at the center of this spring’s political attention, and the upset victory by Congressman Joe Sestak has only heightened the national interest in that political horse race. So today’s Radio Times we turn to the two men who ran the media campaigns for Specter and Sestak: CHRIS MOTTOLA and NEIL OXMAN, respectively. They’ll help us understand their campaigns, the changing role of the media in politics, and what their race and its result portends for national politics in the run-up to November’s mid-term elections.
