Philly public school update

The school year has reached the halfway point, students and teachers have returned from winter break and the School District of Philadelphia continues to hobble along with fewer schools, fewer staff, and much less money. Meanwhile the teacher’s union hasn’t budged, the School Reform Commission is without a leader and school children have limited access to school services, counselors, nurses and librarians. We’ll get an update on the crisis situation in Philadelphia Public Schools from three reporters who have been closely following the situation.
