Guest: John Weller
Antarctica’s Ross Sea is one of the most remote locations on Earth. Considered by many to be the world’s last pristine ocean, the Ross Sea is home to gorgeous landscapes and diverse wildlife. When it was discovered by commercial fisherman in 1996, the Ross Sea immediately became a target because of its abundant fish stocks. In this hour of Radio Times, we are joined photographer JOHN WELLER, who has documented hundreds of breathtaking scenes above and below the sea in his new book The Last Ocean: Antarctica’s Ross Sea Project: Saving the Most Pristine Ecosystem on Earth. He will discuss his journey to the region, his work, and his quest to help preserve the area.
