Guns & gun laws, after Newtown, CT: US, PA, Philly

Listen

In advance of President Obama’s much anticipated news conference later this morning outlining his agenda regarding gun and safety regulations in the wake of the horrific massacre in Newtown, Connecticut last month, we check in with three people intimately involved in gun issues and gun legislation. First, former Pennsylvania Governor ED RENDELL, who battled for increased gun control legislation as Philadelphia Mayor and in his two terms in Harrisburg; then we’ll hear from MICHAEL RESNICK, the City of Philadelphia’s Public Safety Director, about the Nutter Administration’s adoption of the “Sandy Hook Principles,” seeking to divest city-owned funds and pensions from gun-manufacturing companies and related portfolios; and finally, we’ll hear from DAN BAUM, an author and gun-owner about to publish a book titled “Gun Guys: A Road Trip,” which has him visiting gun owners, sellers and shows around the country, including this week, the Las Vegas gun show.
