Grief and Dante: Healing Through the Arts

Listen 00:52:16

Most of us have or will have our lives unexpectedly altered. When an accident simultaneously turns a college professor into a widower and a father, he looks to the work of Dante to grieve and ultimately heal. We talk to Joseph Luzzi whose memoir, In A Dark Wood: What Dante Taught Me About Grief, Healing, and the Mysteries of Love, demonstrates how the arts can be part of the healing process. We’ll also speak with award winning artist Sara Steele about her work and how she has used it to help others process their emotions.
