Delaware dropout rate down

The number of Delaware students dropping out of high school is at a 30-year low. A new program at Dover High School is being credited with helping the state get there.

Wilmington Library: 2014 edition

Since the Wilmington Library opened its doors to the newly renovated building in mid-January, at least 12,000 people have visited to check it out. Though the modernization was done to help the library move forward, remembering its past was also just as important.

Brother Ronald cares

For more than 30 years, Brother Ronald Gionnone has been serving the poor in Wilmingon and the surrounding area. His passion for service has helped the Ministry of Caring bloom into a multi-million dollar effort to make sure the poor aren’t treated poorly.

First Experience: The Hotel du Pont turns 100

We are now heading into the second century for one of Wilmington’s most famous landmarks, the Hotel du Pont. It cost roughly one million dollars and was designed to be as luxurious as any European hotel. Construction took two years to complete. This week’s First Experience uncovers the hotel’s history, and what makes it such a Wilmington treasure.
