    Hour 2

Stieg Larsson’s Millennium trilogy books, which start with the “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” have sold more than 65 million copies and they have been made into films in Sweden and the U.S.  But tragically, the Swedish journalist and author died of a heart attack before ever seeing the phenomenal success of his thrillers.  EVA GABRIELSSON, Larsson’s partner for 32 years, has written a memoir about their life together. In it she talks about her life with Larsson, the political activism that they shared and the inspirations behind the Millennium stories and characters.  Gabrielsson also writes about the legal battle she is waging for the literary rights to the books (since Gabrielsson and Larsson were never married, the book rights went to Larsson’s family). Marty talks with Gabrielsson about her memoir, “‘There Are Things I Want You to Know’ About Stieg Larsson and Me.”
