In this week’s edition of Ballot Talks: we’re joined by WHYY’s DAVE DAVIES, and Philly Magazine reporter PATRICK KERKSTRA who will discuss the upcoming democratic primary for Mayor of Philadelphia. The city has had a recent boom in both population and development, but engagement in the political process seems to be marred by apathy, despite the already-deep field of candidates who have thrown their hats in the race for Philly’s top official. As of now, there are three officially declared candidates, three who have announced that they plan to run, and two local officials who have eluded to potential runs for mayor. We’ll get a rundown of each of these candidates and find out what the pressing issues are for the city’s voters.
