America’s changing religious identity

Listen 00:48:45

Guests: Greg Smith, Michael Hout

Fewer Americans identify with organized religion, according to a recent Pew Research Center survey. But this doesn’t mean America is getting less religious – many “nones,” or the unaffiliated, say they are religious and believe in God. This hour, a conversation about our changing religious identity; what it reflects about our nation, our politics and our culture. Guest host Mary Cummings-Jordan talks with GREG SMITH, associate director of research for Pew Research Center and MICHAEL HOUT, professor of sociology at New York University.
