Guests: Greta Gerwig, Lola Kirke, and Katie Colaneri

Do you ever remember feeling awkward and alone as a teenager and getting a crush on someone older who seems to be so full of life and has their act together? The new film ‘Mistress America,’ directed by Noah Baumbach, is about a lonely college freshman in New York City named Tracy, played by LOLA KIRKE. She is befriended by an older woman named Brooke, played by GRETA GERWIG, who is a whirlwind of conversation and job schemes and big ideas. Today, they stop by our studio to talk about their film that opens on August 28th in the Philadelphia area. You might have seen Gerwig in ‘Frances Ha’ or ‘Greenberg’ and Kirke in ‘Gone Girl’. Then, we hear from WHYY’s KATIE COLANERI about how Philadelphia and its citizens are preparing for Pope Francis’ visit in September.
