A discussion of Philly Fringe show ‘Underground Railroad Game’

Listen 00:48:44

Guests: Jenn Kiddwell, Scott Sheppard

In this hour of Radio Times, we hear from performers JENNIFER KIDWELL and SCOTT SHEPPARD about their Philly Fringe show “Underground Railroad Game,” which premiered last week. The two are the co-creators and stars of the play, which is inspired by a game Scott Sheppard played in a 5th grade history class. He “reenacted” the Underground Railroad by secretly ferrying black dolls to safe boxes. The show brings front and center a funny and incisive view of America’s past and present race relations. We’ll hear from Kidwell and Scott about their performances, their new show, method, and more.
