A Conversation with The Philadelphia Orchestra’s Music Director, Yannick Nezet-Sequin

Listen

The Philadelphia Sound will continue to resonate in its 113th season under Yannick Nézet-Séguin’s baton – after conducting under the director-designate title for two years, he has officially become the eighth music director of The Philadelphia Orchestra. The Montreal native remains the Music Director of both the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and his Orchestre Metropolitain, in addition to conducting opera productions at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Nezet-Sequin will lead The Philadelphia Orchestra this month, at the Kimmel Center, performing the world premier of Gabriela Lena Frank’s “Concertino Cusqueno,” Bernstein’s “Serenade,” and Brahms’ Symphony No. 4.
