The Benghazi hearings and Hillary Clinton; then the embattled House GOP and Paul Ryan

Listen 00:48:43

Guests: Rachel Bade, Anita Kumar and David Herszenhorn

In a much anticipated event, Hillary Clinton testified yesterday before the House Select Committee on Benghazi. The Committee was created to investigate why an attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Libya killed four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, but many Democrats charge that its real purpose is to derail Clinton’s run for the White House. We’ll start off the hour talking about Clinton’s testimony, the committee’s questioning and the politics surrounding the investigation. Our guests are RACHEL BADE, congressional reporter for Politico and ANITA KUMAR from McClatchy. Then we’ll turn our attention to the embattled House Republicans and the man most likely to become the next Speaker, Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan. DAVID HERSZENHORN has been covering that story for the New York Times.
