The end of LGBT discrimination in PA housing, employment and public accommodations?

Guests: Rep. Brian Sims, Terry Madonna, Charlie Gerow

Pennsylvania’s Governor Tom Corbett has, up until now, aligned himself as something of a social conservative.  But last month, the Governor threw his weight behind state Senate and House bills written to end discrimination in housing, employment and public accommodations on the basis of sexual orientation. Some people think this is a gubernatorial race move and others say the governor has always been against discrimination in any way. Democratic State Representative BRIAN SIMS co-sponsored the bill and was the first openly gay member of Pennsylvania’s legislature. Political analyst TERRY MADONNA is watching the 2014 gubernatorial race and sees this as a smart political move on the governor’s part to secure a second term. CHARLIE GEROW, Harrisburg-based Republican strategist and CEO of Quantum Communications says discrimination is not part of the Governor’s DNA.
