The 85th Academy Awards are this Sunday, February 24th, and we’re going to listen back to Marty’s interviews with local connections to two nominated films: writer MATTHEW QUICK, whose debut novel was the source of “The Silver Linings Playbook,” which has eight nominations, including “Best Director” and “Best Picture;” and Kabul-based filmmaker, SAM FRENCH, who co-wrote and directed “Buzkashi Boys,” which is nominated for the “live action short film” category. And first, film critic PIERS MARCHANT joins us for an in-studio Oscar preview.
