The Philadelphia region is a growing bicycle hub. We’re ranked in the top 20 for bicycle-friendly American cities, according to Bicycling magazine, as we possess over 200 miles of bike lanes and paths and have a high commuter presence. We’ll look at the new legislation unanimously approved by Philadelphia City Council to give the green light any newly created bike lanes, with Philadelphia Councilman at Large, BILL GREENLEE. And native Philadelphian DAVID SYLVESTER returns to regale us with his stories of inter-continental biking, as he’s just completed his memoir, “Traveling at the Speed of Life,” about bicycling from East Girard to Ethiopia and back.
