You can buy Joe Fraizer’s Gym for $1 million on Craigslist
It’s come to this.
Despite many attempts at revitalization and recent placement on the Preservation Society’s 2011 list of Endangered Properties, Joe Frazier’s Gym is for sale on Craigslist.
Curbed Philly found the listing from Prudential Fox & Roach, which described the former boxing gym on North Broad Street as having, “tons of potential for further commercial and/or residential use on the second and third floors.”
Frazier died last Fall, long after selling the gym. It’s where the heavyweight boxing champ lived and trained for years.
The asking price is $999,000.
