Yo, Adrian, the ‘Rocky II’ house is for sale
What has two stories, wall-to-wall carpeting and a major motion picture credit?
The “Rocky II” house that’s currently for sale in Girard Estates.
The South Philly rowhome at 2313 S. Lambert St., made famous by Sylvester Stallone, is on the market for $139,900. According to the tool developed by AxisPhilly and our partners at PlanPhilly, there are 17 tax delinquent properties within 500 feet of the house, bringing the property’s value down by 11.7 percent.
It boasts three bedrooms, one-and-a-half baths, central air and any excuse to yell, “Yo, Adrian,” when the moment just feels right. And as Philly.com points out, the whole block is actually famous, since it served as a filming site for the 1979 movie.
Amenities include an eat-in kitchen, decently sized backyard and what we can only hope is a built-in speak system that plays “Eye of the Tiger” on a loop.
Author’s note: An earlier version of this story misspelled Adrian’s name. I’ve never seen the Rocky movies. Please don’t revoke my Philadelphia citizenship.
