Workshop on Emergency Preparedness April 24

The Chew and Belfield Neighbors Club Inc. will meet Wednesday, April 24, 6 p.m. at Joseph E. Coleman Northwest Regional Library, 68 W. Cheltham Ave. There will be a special presentation by the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homeland Security and Domestic Preparedness Unit and the Philadelphia office of Emergency Management, who will present “Ready, or Not? A Personal and Family Preparedness Workshop.” Fires. floods. blizzards – are you ready? Do you have a Family Emergency Plan? What supplies do you need? Do you know how to Shelter-in-Place? Where will you go if you need to evacuate? What will you do with your pet?How can you help when an emergency strikes? The time to start planning for an emergency is NOT in the middle of one. In an emergency, you’re either ready or you’re not. Attend the workshop for a chance to win a combo unit: flashlight/radio/siren.
