After fight with boyfriend, woman struck by train at Marcus Hook

Authorities say a woman was struck and killed by a train near Philadelphia after a fight with her boyfriend at a nearby bar.

Officials in Delaware County said the woman was struck shortly before 6:30 p.m. Monday on tracks near the SEPTA station in Marcus Hook.

Marcus Hook Police Chief John Ireland said the 50-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man had been involved in a quarrel just before the accident at the Star Hotel.

Officials said the woman, whose name wasn’t released, died at Crozer-Chester Medical Center after she was struck by an Amtrak train. Police are continuing their investigation.
