Wolf reports TV spending at $1 million a week

The Democratic front-runner for Pennsylvania governor, Tom Wolf, is spending $1 million a week on TV advertising.

A campaign finance report filed Friday showed the York businessman’s campaign has spent nearly $13 million. He spent nearly half of that, about $6 million, in the five-week reporting period that ended Monday, including $5.3 million for TV air time and production costs.

Wolf has raised $14.5 million, including his own $10 million contribution.

The May 20 primary election will decide which of the four Democratic candidates will be the party’s nominee against Republican Gov. Tom Corbett, who is unopposed.
