Wolf leads in new poll, campaign cash
A new Franklin & Marshall poll shows Democrat Tom Wolf leading incumbent Republican Tom Corbett by 20 points among likely voters in the Pennsylvania governor’s race.
The poll, which is consistent with other independent surveys, was conducted over seven days before Monday’s debate in Harrisburg, in which most observers say Corbett outperformed Wolf.
The poll found that four out of five voters had seen a commercial in the race, but that only 10 percent of them said it changed their thinking. You can read the poll results here.
Meanwhile, both campaigns have a few million to keep producing those ads that don’t seem to move anybody. Reports covering the period through Sept. 15 show Wolf with $6.5 million on hand, and Corbett with $4.8 million. More on their fundraising and spending here.
The next big event in the race is a debate in Philadelphia next Wednesday.
