WIth 6 rail cars gutted, PATCO refurbishing project is 20 percent complete

The Gloucester County Times has a neat photo of what a gutted PATCO rail car looks like.

Six of the transit agency’s cars have been shelled as part of the years-long process to refurbish the entire fleet, making the project about 20 percent done.

Cars began their journey last March to Hornell, N.Y., where they’ll be deconstructed and put back together with newer, more efficient materials.
