Rainstorms leave behind flooding and wintry weather

The rain and snow has moved out but leaves behind some scattered flooding and a coating of snow in some areas.

Flood warnings remain in effect Thursday for several counties in Pennsylvania, including a stretch from the Pocono Mountains south to Philadelphia.

In New Jersey, flood warnings are in effect for the Millstone River at Blackwells Mills, the Ramapo River in Mahwah, the Saddle River in Lodi, and for rivers and streams in northeast New Jersey. Forecasters say those rivers are near or above flood stage.

Rain turned over to snow overnight in some areas, with higher elevations of northeastern Pennsylvania saw 2 to 4 inches of snow. Areas of western Pennsylvania saw lesser amounts. In New Jersey, Sussex County received about an inch of snow.
