Windermere fire victims say they haven’t seen Red Cross aid

Despite news reports, press releases and benefit events, victims of last month’s fire at the Windermere Court Apartments in West Philadelphia say they haven’t seen the aid the Red Cross and Salvation Army keep talking about.
A report on West Philly Local shares an account from a reader, who says outside of a $100 Salvation Army voucher, she and her neighbors don’t seem to be getting any of the money or other resources being collected for them.

She writes, “I wish I could help you help us, but I don’t know exactly how to do that.”
