Wilmington residents being asked to conserve water

Wilmington residents are being asked to conserve water for up to 48 hours after yesterday afternoon’s water main break.

Until the 24-in break can be repaired, residents have been advised to postpone excess water use for things like watering lawns, and washing clothes and cars.

The News Journal reports the break at French and 16th streets was still disrupting traffic this morning.
