A hub for Philadelphia’s activity seekers

The Simons say it’s all about unlimited access to the city’s trails, parks and shops in Roxborough.

He:  Want to hop on the 27 or the 9 and go into Center City?

She:  Let’s go for a walk

    He: Sure, where to?

She:  How about a hike in the Wissahickon?

He:  Sounds good.  Afterward we could stroll down Main Street in Manayunk and have dinner at one of the restaurants.

She:  Well, if we go down to Main Street we could hike on the Manayunk Canal towpath instead.

He:  Instead of a hike why don’t we take our bikes on the towpath and ride out the Valley Forge Trail?

She:  Or ride down to the Kelly Drive and go to the Art Museum.

He:  We could ride around the river drive loop and come back home via the Forbidden Drive.

She:  If we do that we could get take-out for dinner.

He:  How about the Thai Take-out on the corner and the Custard Stand for dessert?

She:   Speaking of dinner, I just remembered we need to go over to our plot in the community garden to pick some lettuce.

He:  Well then, after the garden we could walk to Roma’s Bakery on “The Ridge” to buy some fresh rolls and stop in at the Crossroads Cafe for an espresso.

She:  By the way, isn’t there a concert at Gorgas Park tonight?

He:  Hey,  I’ve got an idea.  Why don’t we………..?
