Whole Foods opens in Cherry Hill, N.J.

New Jersey’s newest Whole Foods Market opened this morning at 9 a.m. in Cherry Hill, N.J.

Whole Foods is located in the same spot Genuardi’s had been at the Ellisburg Circle Shopping Center at Route 70 and Kings Highway. The shopping center has been without a grocery store since August 2012.

Whole Foods Market Cherry Hill will be the first location in the company to feature the “Hatchery” – a pop-up entrepreneurial space within the store where local suppliers, chefs, craftspeople and innovators have the opportunity to sell directly to Whole Foods customers. A different artisan will be featured each day of the store’s opening week.

In addition, the new location will be the only Whole Foods in the Mid-Atlantic region to feature kosher seafood, reflecting the area’s large Jewish population.
