Wheeler will be buried with full miitary honors at Arlingon National Cemetery

Funeral arrangements have been made for John Wheeler, though the service won’t take place until spring. The ex-Pentagon official will be buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery, the Associated Press report and Wilmington News Journal report.

A service for the 66-year-old has been planned for April 29 beginning with a horse-drawn carriage procession. Wheeler’s cremated remains will be placed in a columbarium.

Wheeler’s body was found in Wilmington New Year’s Eve after being dumped in a landfill. He died of blunt force trauma.
