What Platt’s appointment could mean for the Daily News

    The Philadelphia Daily News recently won a Pulitzer. Now it’s set to become a “loud, irreverent and fun tabloid.” Change is not as easy pill to swallow in Philadelphia, so the paper’s transformation will likely be met with wariness from readers. As Dave Davies points out in Off Mic, the staff has some serious reservations about the hiring of former Philly mag editor Larry Platt and the direction the paper’s going.
