West Philly groups look to fund Clark Park enhancement projects

Imagine walking through your local park and thinking, this place could really use a special needs swing, and then your idea was funded and followed through with.

That’s what happened last year through a joint effort by the University City District and the Clark Park Partnership, and the duo is at it again.

As NewsWorks partner PlanPhilly reports, community groups are encouraged to submit project ideas that would enhance Clark Park. Individuals can also submit plans with endorsement by a community group. Also funded last year was the watering and maintenance of 30 new trees.

Proposals will be reviewed by a committee, and $3,000 worth of grants will be announced June 16.
