A large banner now hangs over the entrance to the Cathedral-Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia welcoming Pope Francis to Philadelphia.

The Pope is set to say a private, invitation only Mass on Saturday of his two day visit at the main Philadelphia Church.  The banner is the first in a series of events leading up to the Pope’s arrival in late September.

The banner was unveiled for the first time after the daily Noon Mass at the Cathedral.  In addition to being the central church for Catholics in Philadelphia and home to its major events, the church also serves the Center City residents as their home parish, or church for worship.
