Weekend weather: Right around where we should be for early January

It will feel like early January should this weekend. No extremes; just normal weather.
High temperatures will be in the lower to middle 40s. Overnight lows will dip down to the lower 30s.
The average temperature for today and tomorrow in Toms River is 41.6 and 41.5 degrees, respectively, according to Rutgers University.
Sunny skies will prevail all weekend. By Monday, a shot of Arctic air will arrive, lasting into Tuesday. Temperatures will drop down to below normal readings, with lower 30s as highs and 20s for lows.
A slow temperature moderation period will begin on Wednesday.
