Weather alert: Icy, slushy commute

    Morning, folks!

Things are definitely slippery out there – worse on the sidewalks than on the roads, but take heed whether you’re walking or driving.

The temperature’s right around the freezing point in most places around the Delaware Valley – with highs above 40 for today. Hopefully some of this piled-up white stuff will melt.

PECO’s reporting 20,000 without power – mostly in Delaware and Chester counties. Call 1-800-841-4141 to report an outage or an emergency.

There are many school delays – check NBC10 listing’s here

SEPTA has a few delays and suspended services, but really not too many right now.

There are quite a few cancellations at PHL, so check your flight’s status.

All in all, it’s not as bad out there as many expected. Just keep your wits about you, go slow and proceed with caution.
