Wawa in Mt. Airy closed tonight for mini-renovation
About twenty workers converged on Wawa in Mt. Airy this afternoon and closed the store for some rapid fire remodeling. Customers continued to flow into the parking lot expecting to get their fix, even with the big red sign over the doors.
Representatives from the company wouldn’t hazard a guess as to how many customers they will have to turn away during the short closure, which took effect today at 1:30 p.m.
The store will open again at 5 a.m. Tuesday after workers have installed new front entry glass, a new walk-in cooler and several office upgrades, Wawa officials said.
