Water Department to crown East Falls spokesdog

The day has dawned. Tomorrow’s weather should be great for the crowning of the East Falls spokesdog — an event months in the making.

The finalists will be on hand to see who gets to represent the Philadelphia Water Department in its campaign to get dog owners to pick up after their pets and prevent water pollution and excessive aquatic plant growth.

Mayor Michael Nutter will be at the Trolley Car Cafe and the Gateway at the Bathey for the event at 10:30 a.m.

NewsWorks will be there to see who gets crowed.
