Warmer weather for the last weekend of summer

The last weekend of the summer will end on a warm note, forecasters say.

On Saturday, temperatures at the coast will reach the middle 70s under partly cloudy skies, according to the National Weather Service. Humidity will increase due to a southerly flow.

Sunday will be the warmest day of the week, with temperatures peaking in the middle to upper 70s at the coast and 80s inland under mostly sunny skies.

An approaching cold front will result in a slight chance of a thunderstorm during the afternoon and evening hours, according to the National Weather Service.

After the cold front passes, a northwest flow will deliver cooler and drier weather for Monday — just in time for autumn’s arrival during the evening.
