Violent video games – what’s the real effect?

    Parents and educators are outraged over a new video game that’s being developed – it’s called school shooter, and allows players to re-enact school shooting tragedies including Columbine and Virginia Tech.

    Do violent video games lead to more violence? Some studies say yes, others no. In their weekly conversation, WHYY’s Behavioral Health reporter Maiken Scott and psychologist Dan Gottlieb take a look at the research.
