Vineland Health Department adds restaurant inspection ratings to its website
Vineland’s restaurant inspection ratings have always been public and are required to be posted on site for customers to see. But a move by the health department to open accessibility means residents can review the documents without stopping by the restaurants.
In what’s likely to be a first of many steps toward transparency, the health department now posts restaurant inspections online, the Daily Journal reports.
A focus group will help determine what else should be available on the department’s site.
Restaurants can receive a satisfactory, conditionally satisfactory or unsatisfactory rating.
