Vince Papale will self-publish self-help book

You may remember Vince Papale as the achiever of every Philadelphia fan’s dream: he played three seasons for the Eagles after winning a walk-on roll in the ’70s. And if you don’t remember the actual seasons, then you at least remember Mark Wahlberg stumbling over the tricky Philadelphia accent for the Papale-inspired movie Invincible.

Papale’s become an inspiration to many, so he’s expanding his horizons with a book. Be Invincible in Changing Times: A Playbook for Winning No Matter What Life Throws at You is due out Aug. 13, and includes story from Papale and others who have overcome adversity.

The Associated Press reports the Cherry Hill-based motivational speaker will also redesign his website to allow readers to share their stories and encourage others.
