Video: Parents from across Pa. weigh in on education funding

Parents express the same values and frustrations, even though their children are at schools of varied quality and opportunity.

As part of the Keystone Crossroads’ continued look at education funding in Pennsylvania, multimedia journalist Jessica Kourkounis set out across the state to speak to parents about how they were feeling.

“I interviewed parents in cities and towns who are from varied circumstances and backgrounds. They are parents of public school children and charter school students. Some of their school’s situations are more dire than others but they are all feeling that something needs to be done to address the complicated funding issues facing Pennsylvania. Every parent is looking for the same thing for their children in school; equality, safety, learning and preparation for their children’s future.”
