Vicitm identified: Police continue investigation of Hockessin, Del. homicide

    Shazim Uppal has been identified by New Castle County Police as the victim found dead in a vehicle in Hockessin, Del. on Monday.

    On Monday evening, New Castle County Police were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle sitting idle in a parking lot at Genesis Healthcare, a nursing home in Hockessin, Del.

    After assessing the scene and entering the vehicle, police found a deceased man with gunshot wounds in his upper torso.

    Police have identified the victim as Shazim Uppal, 27, of the 100 block of St. Clair Drive in Hockessin.

    According to investigators, Uppal was last seen driving a black 2007 Audi A8 in the area of Pike Creek on Sunday between 10-11pm.
