Vice President Biden tours area of northeast Pa. hit by flooding

    Vice President Biden visited an area of northeast Pennsylvania hit hard by flooding today, promising support from the federal government.

    The Vice President visited Duryea, an area hit hard by record flooding from Tropical Storm Lee.

    The Daily Local News reports Biden told residents not to give up hope and promised that federal aid would help them get back on their feet.

    “We’re not leaving. The federal government is not stepping away, we’re stepping in,” the Vice President was quoted as saying.
