U.S. hikers lawyer barred from leaving Iran

    The lawyer who represented the U.S. hikers who were detained in Iran has been barred from leaving the country, according to a report from NewsCore.

    NewsCore reports the lawyer who represented the now free hikers had his passport confiscated by order of the judiciary, citing an unnamed source.

    According to the report, Masoud Shafii was boarding a plane headed to the United States.

    NewsCore says he was arrested at his home on Tuesday and questioned for several hours before being released.
