Electric utility work will result in a power outage in a small area of Toms River Tuesday.

Earlier, the township’s Office of Emergency Management issued a release stating that Jersey Central Power & Light crews will be performing reliability improvements throughout the entire municipality, resulting in a widespread power outage.

But an update this evening indicates that the outage will only impact the Jamestown Village Apartments section of the municipality.

The Jamestown property is located on James Street to the north of Route 37 and west of Hooper Avenue.
