University of the Arts hires College of Performing Arts dean

    The University of the Arts announced today its new dean of the College of Performing Arts.

    Kay F. Williams will take on the role July 1, coming straight from her role at an arts consulting and production company in Washington, D.C.
    Williams, who has experience as a producer, designer, company manager and stage manager, will oversee the dance, music and theater schools at UArts.

    “Kay will bring energy, enthusiasm, and a depth and breadth of experience to the continuing transformation of the University as we realize the promise of our innovative new academic plan,” Provost Kirk T. Pillow said in the announcement.

    Williams has also worked at George Mason University, Indiana/Purdue University and Butler University.
