University of Pennsylvania ranks in top 10 among U.S. News and World Report best schools

    A ranking of the nation’s universities by the U.S. News and World Report for 2012 shows the University of Pennsylvania being in the top 10.

    According to the report, the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia was ranked fifth, in a five-way tie with the California Institute of Technology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University and the University of Chicago.

    The University of Pennsylvania sits near Drexel University and has 9,865 students enrolled.

    Penn State and the University of Pittsbrugh made the top 100 list as well.
