University of Delaware raising tuition, fees
The University of Delaware is raising tuition and fees by more than 4 percent next year.
Officials say in-state undergraduate students will pay an additional $490 to attend the school next year, an increase of 4.4 percent. Total in-state tuition and fees for the 2012-13 academic year will be $11,682.
Out-of-state tuition and mandatory fees will increase by $1,310 or 4.8 percent, bringing the total for nonresidents students to $28,772.
When room and board for undergraduates who live on campus are added in, the total expense in the 2012-13 academic year will be $22,440 for in-state students and $39,530 for out-of-state students.
Officials say the percentage increases for tuition and fees are the lowest in five years.
